About Apateon Press

We are a small publisher focused on great fiction and engaging, information non-fiction. We choose each book with care and an eye to keeping you turning pages and leaving a lasting impression. We are a business, but we’d like to think we’re about more than just the metrics and dollars. For us, a book creates a unique connection between author and reader. And, as writers and avid readers ourselves, we understand the power of this connection. It’s what we’re trying to achieve with every title we publish.

Hugh Taylor, President of Apateon Press

Hugh comes to publishing after a career that includes being a ghostwriter and author of 14 books. These include Space Piracy: Preparing for a Criminal Crisis in OrbitAvandell: Reimagining the Dementia Experience, and The Edge Data Center: Building the Connected Future.

Hugh has also served as a book publicist over the last 10 years. The experience of interesting the media in covering books, which closely parallels the process of selling books, informs much of Hugh's approach to publishing.

Printing and publishing are in Hugh's blood. At age 17, Hugh started a printing and graphic design business in New York City. After graduating from Harvard College, he spent six years in the entertainment industry, producing made-for-TV movies.
